Retival

Every room a delivery passes through. One record, from the contract to the close.

A delivery passes through the same rooms, from the first draft of its contract to its closed record, and every room writes to the one record. People decide in each room; Retival keeps the account.

The Contract Room

The promise is read against the team’s own record before anyone signs, and either side can prove exactly what was signed.

  • Before any buyer is invited, the date is read against the team's own record. A promise made by sales or an executive is read the moment it is made.
  • A checklist for the contract's kind fills as the contract is formed. When it is complete, signing becomes possible.
  • Each signature is checked against its mandate. Until both sides have signed, the contract reads partially signed.
  • Then it is fingerprinted, so either side can prove exactly what was signed.

Two ways in

Get the same range and warnings from the tool your team already uses or from Retival’s board.

  • Both ways give the range and the warnings, and every figure says which way it came in.
  • A contract formed in Retival is witnessed; an uploaded one is asserted, and the record says which.
  • An uploaded contract is checked for what its kind of delivery needs, with suggestions people accept or reject.

The Planning Room

Every task is read against the milestone it serves, so a plan that cannot fit shows before you commit to it.

  • In any form: waterfall stages, a scrum backlog, work packages on a road, a rota of trades on a site.
  • Every step is read at once, so the room shows whether the tasks still fit inside the milestone's range.
  • A task committed below what its own estimate allows warns the person committing and the approver.
  • Each task traces back to its milestone and its criteria.

The range and its warnings

The gap between the promise and what the team can deliver shows at day zero. The people with the mandate hear before the deadline.

  • An earliest and a latest finish, narrowing as delivery is measured. A vague delivery gives a wide band, which is the correct answer.
  • The signal is the earliest possible finish passing the milestone. Every shortfall shows its cause.
  • Warnings go to the people who need them, and any figure can be opened to what it was built from.

The money reading

A plan that costs more than its budget shows before signature. A money reading is a reading, never a claim of savings.

  • At day zero, committed cost is set against the budget, so a plan that costs more shows before anyone signs.
  • A signed change moves the budget in the open.
  • On time and materials, over budget is undefined, and the screen says so.
See the room

Workload and protection

An overload shows before the deadline. People are protected without being monitored.

  • Four bands: room for more, nearly full, full, overloaded.
  • The person always sees their own band. Whoever allocates work sees only the band. The delivery sees counts, never names.
  • Only the time given to deliveries is read. The shift is never measured.

Dashboards by role

Every role reads the same computation, so no meeting is spent on whose numbers are right.

  • Roles differ in what they see, never in what is computed.
  • Three flags: time, money and quality, each with its word.
  • Buyer and supplier read one status, computed from one record, on the same day.
See the room

One status for both parties

Buyer and supplier read one status, computed from one record, on the same day. The discussion starts from the same facts.

  • A buyer without Retival joins as an invited guest in the supplier's Contract Room, and sees what the supplier allows.
  • A buyer with its own Retival connects the relationship. Either side may switch the connection off.
  • Decisions taken in an internal session are never shared.

Steering Committee as a Service

Decide against the delivery record, with every reason kept. A decision to decline is recorded with the same weight as a decision to act.

  • Internal sessions stay on one side; joint sessions need both.
  • The steering day: each delivery's status, its cause and the decisions awaiting, on one agenda.
  • A decision to decline is recorded with the same weight as a decision to act.

Boardroom as a Service

See capacity across committed and upcoming deliveries. Start, wait or decline with a reason, instead of overrunning.

  • Measured capacity set against committed work and the pipeline, before anything is signed.
  • Unfilled roles count as a shortfall, as a number.
  • Start, wait or decline, with the reason recorded.

The memory

Find the nearest precedents in the company’s own history: what was decided, why, and what happened next. What it cannot cite, it does not say.

  • Every statement links to the record entries it rests on. What it cannot cite, it does not say.
  • It draws only on the company's own history.
  • With the assistance switched off, the record stays fully searchable and every precedent is still there.
See the room

AI and the assistant

Find precedents and prepare drafts faster. A person keeps, changes or discards every draft. No number anyone acts on is touched.

  • It runs only if the customer switches it on, and switching it on is recorded.
  • It drafts summaries and minutes; a person keeps, changes or discards each draft.
  • Everything the AI produces carries a small AI mark. The range and the warnings are the same with it off.

The decision record

What was decided, by whom, under which mandate and why, is there when it is needed. The original record stays intact.

  • A decision is recorded with who took it, when, under which mandate, and the reason.
  • A decision not to act on a warning is recorded too.
  • At close, the outcome is declared against each criterion locked at day zero.

The forecast, graded

See when the range first held the actual finish, how early that was, and how wide it was then. Every forecast is tested by what happened.

  • The week from which the range held the actual finish, how long before the finish that was, and how wide the range was then.
  • The lead and the width always appear together.
  • A delivery whose range never held is shown as such, never dropped.
See the room

The delivery record

Every closed delivery becomes evidence for the next estimate. Delivery record credentials are computed from what was delivered, so they cannot be bought.

  • The next delivery is estimated against a real history rather than against a hope.
  • Every week of measurement, every milestone met or missed and every variation adds to the record.
  • The delivery record credentials are computed from it, which is why they cannot be bought.
