Worked example

How it works,step by step.

A change is raised

When a change is raised, the nearest precedents in the company's own history, what was decided and what happened afterwards.

Step 1 / 4

What it does

  • When a delivery is being signed or declined, how deliveries of that shape went before, against their own day zero criteria.
  • A decision taken in an internal session is surfaced only to the side that took it.
  • The assistance makes precedents fast to find rather than making them exist.

Who uses it

  • Anyone raising or taking a decision, within what their role may see

What it never does

  • Make a statement it cannot cite.
  • Produce a number anyone signs against.
  • Take or score a decision.
  • Say who got it wrong. Precedents are shown at the level of the decision and the role, never the person.
